AliMed

Established over 35 years ago, AliMed both manufactures and supplies a range of medical equipment for assisted care facilities, health care institutions, and HMOs. AliMed is a US company based out of Dedham, Massachusetts, but distributes products to international clients.

While AliMed's expertise extends to creating a number of product lines, the company does focus on a somewhat specific set of categories of medical equipment. While many of the products AliMed supplies are one-time disposable items like infection control disinfectants and biohazard handling devices, others are more complex. AliMed sells defibrillators, CT scan accessories, and diagnostic clinic instruments such as fat analyzers.

A large majority of AliMed's product line, however, includes items used in conjunction with medical procedures such as splints and therapeutic training devices, as opposed to the actual large-scale testing equipment caregivers rely on. Minor treatment equipment like wound care products, diabetic home care, and wound management software are also important product lines.

In addition, AliMed makes speech products and non medical-related items. These include industrial ergonomics such as ADA accommodations, anti-vibration protection, protective clothing, and anti-fatigue mats. Office ergonomic products like computer workstations, headsets, wrist supports, and computer peripherals are also important categories.
